The world seems to be becoming an increasingly precarious place.

Because the bulk buy giant is selling a year’s worth of grub to last a year in the event of an apocalypse – and it’s a bargain.

Never one to miss an opportunity to make some cash, Costco now stocks the Nutristore One-year Premium Food Kit, which comes with a massive 36,000 servings and a shelf-life of 25 years for some products.

It’s designed to accommodate all your nutritional needs, with daily meals weighing in at 2,000 calories a day and including grains, fruits, vegetables, proteins, dairy ‘and more’.

The kit costs £4,330 ($5,999) which sounds kind of high but actually the price per portion $0.17 (£.12).
