A Peter Rabbit themed afternoon tea is taking place at Flemings Mayfair all throughout March, in celebration of the new Peter Rabbit film, which hits UK cinema screens on 16 March.
Served in the glamorous Drawing Room at the luxury boutique hotel in Mayfair – which is part of an impressive £16 million refurbishment at Flemings Mayfair – a whole array of sweet treats inspired by Peter’s favourite vegetable patch will be on offer, along with a Champagne Devaux botanical cocktail.
Created by Michelin-awarded chef Shaun Rankin, guests will begin with a refreshing chilled tomato gazpacho, followed by a selection of sandwiches with fillings including mozzarella, pesto and basil, and free-range egg mayonnaise and chickweed.
Petit fours come in the form of a carrot cake, strawberry and lavender pavlova, dark chocolate and beetroot brownie and rhubarb and custard.
The whole thing sounds super fancy, as the Drawing Room is said to capture the essence of a traditional Regency drawing room.
It features high ceilings and large sash windows, and a fireplace from 1851, when the hotel was first established.
The Peter Rabbit Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12.30pm to 5pm, for the month of March.
However, it is a little pricey, at £34.50 per person – or £48 per person if you’re wanting a champagne cocktail, too.
