Ever wish your Big Mac were a little bigger… or smaller?

Well you’re in luck, burger pals, as those smaller and bigger versions of the Big Mac we mentioned a while back are now coming to the UK.

The bad news is that they’ll be a limited edition menu addition, so you won’t be able to choose the size of your Big Mac experience forevermore.

The new burger sizes are only coming to the UK for a short amount of time to celebrate 50 years of the original Big Mac (happy birthday, big guy), with three snazzy Big Mac options for you to feast upon.

First there’s the original Big Mac you already know and possibly love – two beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions, nestled inside a sesame bun.

Then there’s the Mac Jr., the same thing but with one patty instead of two, and the Grand Mac, which is a Big Mac but bigger.

The new sizes of burger were pretty popular in the States when they first launched, so it only makes sense to bring them to the UK. We reckon the Grand Mac may be a hit.

Steven Howells, head of marketing at McDonald’s UK, said: ‘As an iconic McDonald’s product, we are proud and excited to be celebrating 50 years of the legendary Big Mac and for the first time ever in the UK, introducing the two new sizes for a limited time.

‘We know a lot of our customers will remember the 1974 launch of the Big Mac in the UK and have continued to enjoy the burger and pass the Big Mac love on since then, it remains our most iconic burger!’

No word on exactly how long the Mac Jr. and Grand Mac will be around for, but we’d recommend moving quickly if you’re desperate to try them. Appreciate what you have while it’s here. Don’t let a repeat of the Churrasco Thigh Burger happen.
